Stephanie Vanderbeck, PMA-CPT
Owner and Director
Stephanie Vanderbeck was inspired to became a Physicalmind Certified Pilates Instructor in 2003-2004 after taking Reformer classes at her local gym. With a background in fitness, Stephanie is a graduate of University of New Orleans (BS Exercise Physiology). She is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (HFI) and RYT200 Yoga, adding dimensions of personal training and yoga to her teaching. Stephanie served as co-owner and Rehab Coordinator for Integrated Spine and Disc where she practiced spinal x-ray analysis and posture correction while teaching Pilates apparatus. Later she became a certified ELDOA Practitioner with founder French Osteopath Guy Voyer, DO; her emphasis is on myofascial stretch and athletic performance. Recent educational pursuits include Pilates for Total Hip Replacement and Lateral Line Posture Analysis with 2nd generation educator Lolita Trahan.
Stephanie has been teaching professionally in New Orleans, Austin and DFW for over 13 years. She is currently owner of Purely Pilates Center in Southlake, TX and serves as a host for Pilates Apprentice Training group in north Dallas. She believes that when it comes to teaching, on size does not fit all, and that Pilates should be diverse and accessible to everyone regardless of age or ability. In addition to being a teacher trainer, Stephanie is certified by the Pilates Method Alliance whose international governing body upholds quality standards in the Pilates profession. When she isn’t practicing Pilates, she is having fun with her husband and 3 dog “children”.
Tasha has a background in fitness and dance. She obtained her STOTT Pilates teacher certification in 2013 and is certified to teach mat, reformer, Cadillac, chair and barrel work. She is also trained in Injury and Special Populations and has experience customizing workouts to address weaknesses, health conditions, postural problems and injuries. She has been teaching both group and private clients for the past 6 years. Tasha is a certified Ballet teacher with Royal Academy of Dance and has taught dance for over 15 years across Canada and the U.S. She is a firm believer in the Pilates principles and exercises, and she helps clients reach their goals by programing safe, challenging, and energizing workouts.
Tasha loves the mind body challenges that Pilates provides. She is currently pursuing further education in the advanced Stott Pilates course work. Most recently she has become a certified Total Barre instructor.
She resides in Southlake with her husband and two sons.
Amy Hinkel, MSR-PT
Amy Hinkel has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 2000. A group fitness instructor since 1991, she has taught a variety of formats including Pilates mat, yoga and spinning. She received her Reformer certificate from Balanced Body in 2011 after joining an Atlanta physical therapy private practice where she used Pilates apparatus for therapeutic exercise. Once discharged from PT, her patients commonly transition into Pilates clients in order to maintain wellness.
Originally from Charleston, SC, Amy relocated to Southlake from Atlanta with her husband and 3 children. She has a passion for wellness and nutrition and loves to stay fit through Pilates, yoga and Crossfit.
Meaghan Biggio Hampton, PMA-CPT
PMA Certified Pilates Instructor. Initially introduced to Pilates as a child when her mother had a serious back injury, she quickly fell in love with the practice. After receiving her BA in Human Services from Troy University, she moved to Houston and began teaching pilates full time. Meaghan completed the Washington Avenue Pilates Teacher Training, a 450 Hour intensive program in 2013. Meaghan has passion for health and wellness and desires to share that with her clients in each and every class.
Nicole Lockhart, PMA-CPT
Certified Pilates Instructor- Pilates Method Alliance - Tensile Strength Studio, B.S. Degree from National University majoring in Criminal Justice. Nicole has over five years experience teaching Pilates as well as working with clients with contraindications including hip/knee replacement, labral tears, lower back pain, and scoliosis. Nicole's passion is to help those with limitations find freedom through movement.
