YOUR GUIDE TO GETTING STARTED
We welcome all levels! Beginners may schedule a Mat/Springboard, ELDOA, or Barre class without prior experience. At least one private session is required prior to group reformer classes. This is an important step to maintain the quality and pace of our classes. Beginners are strongly encouraged to schedule 3 Introductory lessons. You will learn the essential exercises on all the equipment so that you are comfortable in any class.
Please read on for studio etiquette and frequently asked questions.
ARRIVING FOR CLASS
Please arrive 5 minutes early to get settled in for class. Should you happen to arrive while another session is in progress, don't be shy--just enter and wait quietly. In consideration of others, silence your cell phone. Students arriving 5 min after start of class will not be permitted to join for their own safety.
WHAT TO WEAR
Everyone is required to wear Pilates Socks for hygiene and safety; available for purchase in the studio. Wear something comfortable (no zippers—they damage the equipment), and avoid lotions, oils and perfume.
We have a 14 hour cancellation window. We understand that life sometimes happens, therefore we offer 1 "Grace" late cancel per year. To receive a pass, you must cancel yourself online and make your request via email before the class starts.
Thanks for taking the time to late cancel yourself online. Instructors do not accept verbal requests for schedule changes. If someone on the wait list is able to take your spot, you will not be charged for the class.
There is no charge for an early cancel up to 14 hours before class. Late cancels and no shows are charged the full price of the class plus a $15 fee for all auto-renew packages.
By creating a wait list reservation, you agree to be automatically added should a spot open up. You will be notified via email if you have been placed into the class. The wait list locks at 12 hours, meaning you will not automatically be added in after that point. Please manage your reservations; once you are added to the class roster, the cancellation policy is effective. If you see that there is an open spot for any class, you may also attend as a drop-in although your spot cannot be guaranteed.
PRIVATE SESSION POLICIES
- Cancellations within 24 hours prior to appointment will be charged the full cost of the service. Out of fairness to our staff and to other students, we do not waive the cancellation fee for any reason, thanks for understanding.
- Use our online scheduling tool for easy scheduling. Although we make every effort to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee your preferred time or instructor.
- The studio is shared with other students and instructors during private appointments. If you require a completely private space, the entire studio can be rented (contact for rates).
REFUNDS & EXTENSIONS
All packages are non-refundable, no-transferable, and cannot be exchanged or credited for other services within the studio. Each service has an expiration date which appears when making the purchase. Classes packages expire in one year according to Texas state guidelines; unused sessions are forfeited after one year from the purchase date. A class "package" represents a bulk discount, and this discount is an incentive for those who are committed to completing the classes within the given time frame. Single sessions are always available in our online store as an alternative to packages.
Please notify your instructor if you are pregnant. We do not advise taking regular classes (as a new student) after you have become pregnant. Your body will change quickly, making many positions uncomfortable. For this reason we offer prenatal sessions with a qualified instructor. Pilates is highly recommended to help you regain your strength after baby, with a doctor's clearance to exercise.
Anyone under age 18 is required to have a parent-signed waiver. Small children, while we do love them, are prohibited from the studio space.
